Li Song
She/her
Managing Director
Li Song currently holds the role as the Managing Director at PRUDE Inc. (Pride of Race, Unity, Dignity, and Education), and few other hats in the community. PRUDE Inc. has been promoting diversity in all forms, and cultural inclusiveness with all respects since 1981. Li has been working with the members at the PRUDE Inc. on implementing dynamic programs and strong voices for raising diversity, equality, and inclusiveness through education and workshops for visible minorities, newcomers and citizens in the Saint John region.
Li Song has lived, studied, worked and volunteered in Canada since 2002. Li calls the city of Saint John “my city”. Li loves people. She has passionately served and worked with thousands of people for she has managed newcomer programs, coordinated multicultural events, volunteered herself through various positions in the region. Li believes in diversity, inclusion, equality and education and thinks these are the key to resolve our generational issues in life. When Li Song is not working at PRUDE Inc., she works as a licensed Realtor ® for international investors, helping to grow the Saint John region.
Li Song has achieved her double degrees in Arts and Education from UNB Saint John, and holds a NB Teacher Certificate 5, a NBMC Creating Inclusive Officer Certificate and TESL Certificate. She is an appointed NB Commissioner of Oaths, and a member in the CTINB as a freelancer translator. Li won a UNB Student Leadership Award in 2008. She was named a CIDA Global Youth Ambassador by the province of New Brunswick in 2010. She was recognized as the UNB U35 Young Alumni in 2016, and at the same year, she was recognized as an Outstanding Volunteer by the City of Saint John. She was nominated and chosen to be the YMCA Peace Medline in 2017 during the Peace Week across Canada. She was awarded as one of the Top 25 Immigrants in the Maritimes in 2018. Li was profiled at the International Women’s Day, and recognized as a Community Change Maker by UNB Alumni in 2021.

Romy Lai
She/her
Executive Financial Admin
Romy joined the PRUDE Inc. team in June 2019 as our executive administrator. She is tasked to help with the organization's administrative work, reporting, and to make sure that we are financially sustainable.
Romy has been involved in the multicultural and newcomer community since she landed in Saint John in 2015. As a mother and a newcomer, she participated in PRUDE Inc.'s activities as a client before joining the team. Romy joined PRUDE Inc. because the position has allowed her to expand her knowledge and grow everyday within an amazing and inclusive team.
She also enjoys sharing her culinary talents with the team. Originally from Madagascar, Romy is also the owner of Sweet Vanilla and you can meet her at different farmers markets around Saint John from May to October.
Romy speaks English, French, Spanish, Cantonese and Malagasy.

Lin Zhang
She/her
Community Engagement Officer
Lin joined the PRUDE Inc. family in October 2019 as the Community Engagement Officer. She started here through an internship from UNB MBA program, which quickly turned into a full-time permanent position upon completion of her studies. She is tasked with engaging the community and our clients through the organization’s events, presentations, branding and volunteer management.
Lin moved to Saint John in 2017 and has fallen in love with the city. She is very interested in cultural intelligence. She also likes to share her own personal experiences with new cultures and hearing other people’s stories from their perspective.
Her favorite part of working with PRUDE is getting to know new people from different countries, cultures and backgrounds.

Damon Levine
He/him
Anti-Racism Program Coordinator
Damon joined the PRUDE Inc. team in November 2020 as the Program Developer/Facilitator for the organization’s Workplace Bias Recognition Program. Damon is tasked with developing, refining and delivering the program. He also moderates forum discussions; coordinates fundraising efforts for the organization and creates videos to document PRUDE Inc.’s history. Aside from his role at PRUDE, Damon is also the Web Content Manager for the New Brunswick Black History Society. There, he maintains and updates website content and creates videos to document the NBBHS history.
Damon chose to work for PRUDE Inc. because the organization appreciates his skills and allows him to continue to learn and grow as a professional. He enjoys interacting with his friendly, supportive coworkers. Damon also enjoys applying his writing, editing, web development and media skills to the various projects he works on here at PRUDE Inc..

Omar Morad
He/him
Youth Program Coordinator
Omar Morad has lived in many places throughout his life. Palestine, Syria, Lebanon, but he chose Saint John as his permanent residence when he arrived in 2018. He learned English and was able to get a job with the City of Saint John, working in the population growth section and helping people who went through the same situation as he did.
Omar found his passion in volunteering, completing over 200 hours with different organizations, including PRUDE Inc, which he later got a job as the Dive Into YSJ Program Officer.
Omar created the organization Union of Youth Newcomers, which brings immigrant students together.

Gary Flanagan

Diversity Education Program Coordinator
Gary was hired as the Cultural Diversity Program Coordinator in September of 2021. In this role, he delivers presentations relating to inclusion and acceptance throughout schools in the Anglophone South School District. He brings with him many years of teaching experience, including several years working with ESL students, as well as in the realm of financial literacy.
He chose PRUDE because it is the type of work that he finds rewarding and he had heard many positive things about PRUDE over the years. In his spare time Gary loves music, photography and writing.

Christine Eruokwu
She/her
Newcomer Women Leadership Program Coordinator
Christine Eruokwu is a Nigerian-born entrepreneur and educationist with over a decade of successful experience in teaching and the management of education-based social enterprises. She holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Technology Management (ETM) from the University of New Brunswick Saint John.
Christine specialises in the application of business solutions to social problems. A passionate believer in the societal gains embedded in the empowerment of the girl child, she founded Kaima Designs, an African-inspired trendsetting clothing brand which is at the forefront of supporting the education of the girl child.
In 2021, she co-founded United Colours of fashion, a non-profit which was initiated to promote engagement and collaboration among fashion creatives and enthusiasts of diverse backgrounds while providing training and mentorship to individuals seeking a career in the fashion industry.
Christine is a changemaker who loves her city and utilizes every opportunity to engage with community members on issues that affect women, youth and newcomers in New Brunswick.

Wilinton Vega

Marketing and Communication Coordinator
Wilinton Vega is a Colombian-born with a successful career in different sectors and business areas. He has more than 18 years of experience in different sectors such as Banking, IT security, Non-profit organizations and Retail sector. Wilinton has been in different roles like Strategic Sourcing Director, Procurement and supply chain Leader, Facilities, Marketing, Project management, Human Resources and Compliance. His experience has provided him to lead important projects, and get with those new visions and added values.
Wilinton joined the PRUDE Inc. family in August 2021 as Event Planner, to manage our Annual Event, Diversity Award Champion. His current challenge is to implement marketing strategies and spread the PRUDE's voice through communication.
He chose PRUDE Inc. because he saw an amazing Team that is ready to help the community. He didn’t hesitate for a second to join this fantastic family. He believes that when you touch people's hearts, wonderful things happen.

Brenda Diaz
She/her
ALL WOMEN Project Coordinator
Studied Security and Defense in Washington DC, with military and police officer colleagues, to grow fraternity and progress in all American Continent. Succeeded in the traditional male bastions of operations, security and risk assessment, working both governmental and private sector, managing multiple projects at once. Brenda arrived from Mexico City directly to Saint John City, and truly believes it is the perfect place to develop children’s skills in a family environment. Besides that, she appreciates that people of Saint John show compassion and determination.
She committed with Prude Inc. admiring its convincing multicultural composition, as one of the most important values in Canadian society and all the programs focused in. As the REAL WOMEN project coordinator, Brenda trusts in the capacity of organizations to mobilize local systems to support social outcomes and make a positive impact for girls and women.

Robert Sancton
He/him
Language & Community Integration Coordinator
While working for the United Nations in Sudan, Robert facilitated coordination among UN entities and between the UN and the Government of Sudan. He also managed a program to provide capacity building opportunities for at-risk youth and other vulnerable groups. Previously, Robert supported the training of international peacekeepers and the socioeconomic integration of newcomers and other marginalized women in Canada.
Robert has a Master of Arts in Peace Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Computing and Information Science. He has completed training in emergency management and innovative approaches to solving public policy problems.
In his free time, Robert enjoys running and participating in community initiatives to preserve coastal biodiversity.
